What is a TOTAFOT tzitzit shirt?

A tzitzit shirt is an everyday garment built from the start as a kosher four-cornered garment: the sides are mostly open and the tzitzit are tied at the corners, so you can wear what looks like a regular T-shirt and keep the mitzvah of tzitzit all day long. TOTAFOT styles have a dedicated inner pocket for the strings, for those who prefer to tuck them in.

Halacha and kashrut

The 613 collection was developed under the halachic guidance and supervision of Rabbi Maor Cohen, and the rulings prepared for the collection were presented to the Rishon LeZion, Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, who granted a letter of approbation. Fabric size (at least 36×36 cm), the side opening and the hole position (about 5.4 cm from the edge) were checked according to halacha. The strings come from a supervised mill and are tied by hand by Torah-observant Jews. All certificates are on our Kashrut & Halacha page.

Fabric, fit and sizes

• Oversize — a wide, comfortable fit in 240–250 GSM fabric (mercerized cotton, some styles with a touch of spandex for stretch).
• Regular fit — King David and Thread of Grace, heavyweight 300 GSM, 100% mercerized cotton.
• Tzitzit polo — Noble Insight, breathable piqué cotton.
• Button-down tzitzit shirt for Shabbat — Premier Class, white with long sleeves.
